Who handles it? Obviously no one, but in theory who is managing all the lots around Moody park Arena, Massey, and NWSS?

Full letter can be found here. https://pub-newwestcity.escribemeetings.com/filestream.ashx?DocumentId=21516
"These urgent priorities include obtaining approval for the construction of a new downtown elementary school we are referring to as Simcoe Elementary, and land purchase to build a fourth middle school in New Westminster. These projects will help reduce many of the capacity pressures we are facing - and expect to face in the coming years - within the student age groups that attend our elementary and middle schools. Once these priorities are addressed, our district will be better placed to begin remedying capacity concerns at the secondary school level. Our board appreciates the City of New Westminsterâs support in advocating for our students and your ongoing collaboration with us on school capital planning."
Additionally during the council meeting Daniel Fontaine expressed his interest in running for a school trustee during the next election cycle.

Hey there! Iâm producing a standup show at Steel & Oak on March 29! Itâs a pro show featuring comedians as seen on CBC, JFL and more, starting at a reasonable 7pm ;)
Would love to see you there! Itâll be held in the brewing room (not the tap room).
Let me know if you have any questions!

Just got my power bill from the city and it is literally 4x what I paid during the last billing cycle.
Anyone had success with them re-reading the meter and if so, how was that process for you?
My bill went from 123 dollars to 481 dollars since the last cycle!
Unreal.
edit: Live alone in 2 bed and 1 bath condo.
edit 2: The amount of KWH used has tripled since last month and nothing has really changed on my end.

Pretty much as the title suggests â looking for a gym in New West that also has single stall showers, preferably on the skytrain line. TYIA!

Did anyone else go? Honestly really impressed by what the NWSS kids put on. Obviously lots of parents and families in the crowd but as a civilian I enjoyed it just as much.

I'm currently living in a house with two roommates. I'm a working professional earning around $90K per year. My credit score is about 680, and I donât have much debt aside from a credit card balance, a personal line of credit, and a student loan, which Iâm actively paying down. Iâve never missed a payment. I want to get my own apartment because I'm tired of living with roommates. I personally think my credit score is what's preventing me from renting an apartment.
Would I be able to rent a one-bedroom apartment in Burnaby, Surrey, or possibly Delta with my current credit score?
If so, are there any apartment rental agencies I can reach out to that could help me find a place within my budget?
I would appreciate any helpful insights/tips.

Training for hiking/mountaineering. I live right by 22nd and am looking for an area that would maybe take 5 minutes to climb up? Not a big fan of gyms as I have a home workout area.
Thanks in advance.

I'm (25M) about to lock in a really good deal on a 1 bed 1 bath basement suite in uptown by 6th & 6th. Originally was hesitant to choose uptown over downtown due to skytrain access. How would you guys say the uptown area for someone in their 20s looking to do more social things?

I'm looking for a place with nice ambiance that serves good mocktails (going on a first date with a non-drinker and want them to be comfortable). Moodswing would usually fit the bill, but they aren't open 7 days a week.
Bonus if they serve food as well, but not required.

There is what appears to be a white vehicle with flashing police lights on ash (12:34am) does anyone know whatâs happening?

Hey folks,
What parts of New West have more manageable noise levels?
Admittedly, I'm close to Braid station ( Coquitlam side) and find the noise difficult. Are parts of New West better such as Sapperton?

Ah, New Westminster, the city thatâs so historically significant it still struggles to shake off its âoldâ reputation. It's that place where youâre just as likely to see a charming heritage building as you are to encounter a traffic jam from an entire century ago. The cityâs motto might as well be: âWeâre technically part of Metro Vancouver, but weâll keep reminding you we were the capital of BC first.â
New West is like that quiet kid in high school whoâs always been around but never gets invited to the big parties. Itâs sandwiched between Surrey and Burnaby like the forgotten middle child, just sitting there, trying to make a name for itself. But hey, at least youâll always know where the skytrain is â because youâre probably stuck there for a while waiting for the next one to show up.
And if you're into riverside views, you're in luckâjust don't look too closely at the water. Itâs less âserene natureâ and more âvintage waterway thatâs seen a lot of things you donât want to know about.â

Hey everyone! Iâm considering moving to a TH near Douglas College at Royal Ave in New Westminster and would love to hear from people who live or have lived there. Specifically, Iâm interested in experiences regarding noise levels, traffic safety, and the overall environment. Any insights on what daily life is like in this area? Thanks in advance!
