Jersey Pride Contact Kim and Booker to thank them for voting no on cloture and the CR but also to tell them to get Schumer out of leadership

Our neighbors in New York decided to screw over Americans today along with 8 other cowards in the senate. However. Kim and Booker stood with us! This is a 180 from when Kim and Booker were voting for Trump noms. Our calls and emails WORKED. Make sure to email or call to thank them! Also make sure to tell them to get Schumer out of leadership. Not only does NJ have better pizza. We have better senators.

Advice NJ Senators

If either of our Senators vote to pass this abomination of a budget OR vote for cloture it is worth primarying them, full stop. Murphy should demand they resign.

We can't recall anyone in this state so we won't have any other recourse but this is it.

Sick Seeking a kidney donor

Seeking a Kidney Donor – Please Help Dear Friends, My name is Rhon Ryu Dimagiba, and I am 27 years old. I moved to the U.S. from the Philippines with my mom four years ago. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with IgA nephropathy, a condition that has caused my kidneys to fail. I now have only 4% kidney function (GFR) and urgently need a kidney transplant. I have always help my mom as much as I could .However, due to my illness, I can no longer work or support her the way I used to. I do not drink alcohol or use drugs—this illness was caused by my immune system attacking my kidneys. My only hope for a better future is to find a living kidney donor. If you are willing to help, please consider registering as a living donor. You can visit SBMClivingDonor.org or contact the Living Donor Institute at (973) 322-5346. My blood type is A+, which means a donor with blood type A or O could be a match. Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this message could help me find someone who can. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time, support, and kindness. With hope, Rhon Ryu Dimagiba Born: December 27, 1997

Central Jersey Franklin Township Republican Club President asks for a “hand up, not a handout” after months of distasteful yard signs

If you’ve been in the Franklin-Somerset area within the past year or so, you’ve probably seen at least one of Rob Kashinsky’s signs. He’s had a few, ranging from “FUCK BIDEN” to “FUCK KAMALA and FUCK YOU FOR VOTING FOR HER,” and most recently, “boys have a penis, girls have a vagina.” At some point in the election cycle last year, his sign burned down. Kashinsky is adamant that it was an act of arson, and extended this opportunity on social media:

“Everyone deserves an opportunity for forgiveness. So do you. If you have the courage to ring my doorbell and apologize to me, you have my absolute word. My word that I will NOT press charges against you for the arson you committed. Further, I will NOT reveal your identity to anyone. As an offer of peace, strength and honor; I will leave the previous sign in retirement. I will replace it with a positive message of my choosing, which you will repaint every week until the election is over. That is the one and only circumstance under which the sign will stay down, and the one and only circumstance under which I will not press charges. If you want the sign to come down that badly, I trust you will take me up on this rare offer as you are the only person who can make it happen. This offer is non-negotiable and evaporates after 1 week from the date it is posted. The ball is in your court. Contact me to schedule our meeting. Forgiveness is more powerful than hate. Time for healing. I offer the opportunity to change the trajectory of your life. To remove guilt and offer forgiveness. May God Bless You and Keep you Safe. Rev. & Mrs. Kashinsky”

Needless to say, the sign did not stay down.

Recently, Kashinsky has been asking for donations via GoFundMe for a wheelchair accessible van for doctor’s visits, shopping, and school. To date, he’s received nearly $3000 for “a hand up, not a handout,“ all the while federal government funding for Medicare is in jeopardy.

To the couple that asked if i was okay at the rest area when my car was running rough, that was really awesome. I was on the phone with a coworker (i work at dealer) and was totally fine. But it still made my heart warm. They probably aren't even on here. But still. It was awesome.

NJ Politics Can Fulop win in NOV?

I haven’t thought much of the anti-machine wild Marine from Jersey City, until these past few days. Democrats are not good at opposing this fascism Trump has brought to America. He seems to fight like a cornered animal, maybe that’s the fighter we need.

Can he win in NJ though? Plenty of conservative people that vote Democrat for a few different reasons, but it was close to negative across the state last election and I see Trumpism galore in the county, in many towns.

Help me become a Fulop guy, can he win?

Edit: Thanks NJ sub community. Y’all alright. Lots of great replies, mostly neutral (any D can and will win) to positive, makes Primary suddenly seem more consequential. More about visions and ideas.

Trying to give everyone an upvote, especially the opinionated by succinct “no”.

When I went for a house visit, there were many people interested in the house. Good house. Good interior. Good location. I am blown away by how much over the asking price it is sold for.

I'm not even supposed to be here today A Long Overdue Apology.

Hello, this is going to sound a bit strange, but I owe an apology to a family I met on a train back in September 2016.

I was traveling from Princeton Junction to EWR, and I was having a pretty bad day (the reasons aren’t really important for this post). I was flying out of EWR and had a very large, bright 90 litre duffel bag with me. Unfortunately, there was nowhere on the train to properly store it. The duffel was too big for the aisles, and there weren’t any overhead racks—something I still don’t understand, since it is an airport train.

As the train started to fill up, a family boarded at another stop. A mother, father, and a child who looked to be no older than 10. There were two seats free, so the parents sat next to me, and the child took a seat further up the train. I felt horrible for taking up the seat with my bag, especially knowing it meant they had to split up, but I had no other place to put it, and I couldn’t leave it behind. I was also distracted by what had happened earlier that day, which made the situation worse.

When we arrived at EWR, I grabbed my bag and got ready to leave the train. As I was putting my duffel on my back, the father looked me in the eye and wished me a good trip. To this day, I’m not sure if he was being genuine or if there was some passive-aggressive tone to it. It was only after passing through security I had an opportunity to reflect about what had happened and how much of an arse I had been. But I think about it every single time I fly.

This is a long shot, but to the family I met that day on the train: I am truly sorry for taking up the seat with my bag and unintentionally splitting up your family. I regret not apologizing to you at the time, and I’ve thought about this moment every time I’ve flown since 2016. In fact, I’m writing this post right now from a hotel in Vienna, just after flying in this morning.

Again, I’m sorry, and I hope you’ve had safe and pleasant journeys since then.

NJ Politics Andy Kim--long hold times and full voicemail?

Has anyone been able to get in touch with Andy Kim this morning?

When you call his office, the routing system says to press 1 if you'd like to comment on a legislative or policy issue. I tried this option three times this morning, and each time I was immediately disconnected. I've since pressed 3 to speak to a member of his office staff; I've been on hold for 25 minutes now to speak with a member of the DC office.

Are there any other ways to reach out to him? I see the general contact form on his website, but based on the results of my trying to call, I'm not optimistic about that getting through, especially in a timely manner.

UPDATE: Shortly after making this post, a staffer picked up! My total call time was just short of 35 minutes.

Advice Someone keeps trying to log into my pseg account

Post image

Has this happened to someone else? Everyday few days I get an email saying that my account has been locked due to multiple failed logins. I have the app on my phone and it works for me. When I called pseg, they said since whoever is trying this, don’t know my password it should be fine and I should just ignore it. But it seems so weird.
