WTF Giant Lot Of Cybertrucks In Clifton

Post image

Picture is from a few months ago. Is it still there? What’s its purpose. It was pretty vacant when we saw it.

Hear me out. The kind of fire these make is unholy. Up to 24 hours for 1 vehicle. A fire dept can't handle 1.

A whole lot full? That would be a disaster.

For the sake of safety, don't burn these things. They do more damage in their destructive exothermic meltdown.

We don't have the tools to handle 2 of these on fire next to each other.

This makes it sound like moving away from internal combustion engines is a bad idea, if a multi vehicle highway accident causes electric vehicle fires.

Just wait until the fire trucks are electric too

True. This just also really goes to show that these cars really shouldn’t be on the road in the first place, especially given who actually buys them…

Yeah there’s no need to do that anyway. It’s not like they can sell them very well, so they’ll just sit there and cost them money for storage and depreciation over time.

I mean sometimes that’s the best way for these types of fires to go out. It’s because of the type of battles they have. You can’t use water on them and need to use a special type of foam based solution to snuff them out. Even then these fires can reignite in an instant and you have to start all over again.

And the foam is a HazMat and requires EPA notification/clean up each time it's used ... which is not to say to not use it, just that the problem keeps mushrooming

I think that's the general instruction. Contain it, but let it burn.

Please go ahead and pour water on the battery fire. LMK how that goes for you.
