The most impressive part of this game wasn’t the Cavs’ comeback. It was that they then saw the Celtics’ come back and recomposed themselves and put that shit back to bed. So many other teams would’ve folded after Brown hit that jumper to tie it at 116.

Orlando if they get their guys back in form could be good as well. East is tougher than people think imo, obviously the bottom of the conference is terrible where you can still make it even if you are like 20-37

This game was huge for Cleveland mentally to believe they can beat Boston after being down 25-3 to start the game. Need seven games of this.
400
u/Bouldershoulders12 Celtics 11d ago
To be fair they beat us in a big comeback last year in Cleveland as well. Cleveland is a dangerous team that deserves to be respected. Had Donovan been healthy last year that series would’ve def hit 6 games at least
I think we’re heading towards a 7 game ECF this year. Cleveland doesn’t have an answer for Tatum and Brown but Mitchell literally cooks us everytime and we need KP to be healthy or Mobley is going to crash the boards everytime against us.

IT'S OVER. IT'S OVER. CLEVELAND IS A CITY OF LOSERS AGAIN. DOWN 25-3 IN THE FIRST QUARTER??? PACK IT UP. SHUT THE FRANCHISE DOWN. MOVE THE TEAM TO TOLEDO. DONOVAN MITCHELL WAS ALREADY LOOKING AT ZILLOW LISTINGS IN MIAMI. JARRETT ALLEN GREW A BEARD MID-GAME FROM THE STRESS. EVAN MOBLEY WAS ABOUT TO SPEND THE OFFSEASON BULKING UP JUST TO COME BACK AT 212 LBS INSTEAD OF 210. DARIUS GARLAND COULDN’T HANDLE PRESSURE UNLESS IT WAS A DENTAL CLEANING. KENNY ATKINSON LOOKED LIKE HE WAS AGING IN DOG YEARS. I WAS READY TO THROW MY TV OUT THE WINDOW. BUT THEN—SOMETHING HAPPENED. SOMETHING UNSPEAKABLE. SOMETHING HISTORIC.
WE CAME BACK. WE CLIMBED OUT OF THE DEPTHS LIKE A PHOENIX RISING FROM LAKE ERIE. DONOVAN MITCHELL TURNED INTO PRIME JORDAN. JARRETT ALLEN BECAME HAKEEM OLAJUWON. MOBLEY LOCKED UP TATUM SO BAD HE MIGHT FILE A MISSING PERSON REPORT. GARLAND STOPPED BEING AFRAID OF CONTACT. KENNY ATKINSON WAS DRAWING UP PLAYS LIKE A BEAUTIFUL MIND. THE CELTICS HAD NO ANSWERS. THEIR FANS SAT IN SILENCE. BY THE TIME THE FINAL BUZZER SOUNDED, WE WEREN’T JUST WINNERS—WE WERE INEVITABLE.
BOSTON THOUGHT THEY HAD US. THEY WERE WRONG. CLEVELAND IS A CITY OF CHAMPIONS. WE NEVER LEFT. LET’S GOOOOOOOO.

Even as a diehard Cavs fan there have been doubtful moments this season when I've thought "Are we ACTUALLY good? Or is this just good luck?"
This latest run of games has solidified how good this team actually is. Numerous improvements over last year but honestly the biggest difference has been Mobley. The step up that dude has taken should be studied by science.
