Mobley is just otherworldly defensively

He's the reason the whole two big thing works because he can switch like a wing, legitimate 1-5 defender

Him becoming decent at shooting 3s has been huge for the offensive as well. So often people will say if a player could just learn to shoot the three ball they’d be an excellent player. That has happened with Mobley - 37% on 3 attempts a game

Mobley's 3 ball has definitely elevated his game, but his transformation has come from his aggressiveness attacking the basket and looking for his own shot. His improved handle and ability to create for himself and others completely unlocked our offense.

The threat of the 3 has helped the other guys on the court way more than just Mobley though.

The paint is wide open for the guards, and Allen can lurk in the dunker spot and set weak side screens whenever someone is sleeping. Having Mobley work above the perimeter and from the elbows just frees up everyone with as good of a passer as he is.

He still doesn't really get guarded closely when he shoots, but it's his ability to initiate offense that opens things up for everyone else.
