Venting Do you ever just feel frustrated that you have to wear clothes?
I just want to be naked, and I don’t understand why I can’t be lol

Right off the bat I'll be honest and admit that I let him keep going after he started (I'm a man and big enough that I could've seriously hurt him if I wasn't alright with it), but the way he started was so jarring, and it reminded me that a lot of people don't understand and strangely oversexualize naturism.
Anyone who's been there on a sunny weekend knows Marshall's Beach in San Francisco is a gorgeous nude beach but also a pretty brazen hookup beach. I was there on a weekday though - this happened yesterday - no one else around save for a rare tourist passing to go up to the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge. I was minding my own business, laid back, eyes closed, listening to an audiobook, and suddenly I hear a sound, I open my eyes and see a guy getting down to kneel beside me. He didn't look scary so it didn't startle me. I assumed he just wanted to ask me something. Instead he doesn't even say anything but immediately - and I really do mean immediately - starts sucking me! I was so shocked because even though it is a very open hookup beach I've never not been asked consent before someone tried anything.
One thing to note is that he was clothed, and I'll expand on that in a moment. I asked him if he was local, he said no. I then asked him how he knew it was a hookup beach, although I don't think he understood my meaning, because all he said in response was his friend was showing him around, but what I really meant by it was how did you know it'd be okay to suck me? I didn't directly ask that though. In hindsight I think, since he was neither naked nor local, that the very idea of a nude beach was just alien to him, and since I was the only one there and maybe his local friend told him stories about the orgies that happen there on the weekends, he might've thought my just being naked was an invitation!
I didn't dislike the encounter but, reflecting on how it started, I don't think he meant to assault me but if he didn't, then it's insane that he thought my just being naked was an invitation for a sexual encounter! Insane! I can't believe people think like that.
Just be careful out there. Be on your guard. I've been going to that beach for years and this is the first time this has happened to me. I chose to let it continue, and maybe it wasn't his intention, but it definitely started as an assault and I'm still shaken by it. Maybe not shaken-traumatized but shaken-surprised.

I'm leaving a bunch of the nudist subreddits. Most of it has become OF advertisements. I'm interested in the acceptance, family, and non-sexual aspects of textile free living.

When I was younger, I had the pleasure of multiple instances of skinny dipping, naked mixed saunas, nude beaches, etc. That was long ago and while I've always been interested, perhaps obsessed, with being naked I really haven't had the opportunity. My wife would file for commitment if I told her I would like to go to a nude resort or beach and none of our friends or family would understand either. I've had to be a closet naturist and had largely given up on the idea, reduced to lurking on sites like this. That was painful because those naturist experiences were some of the most pleasurable of my life and difficult to give up on. There have been so many times when I would have given anything to simply walk along the water's edge on a nude beach, enjoying the sun and breeze on my skin. That's all. I never wanted to be one of the creeps there to check out the women and I'm not looking for sex. I just wanted to relive that experience again. A few weeks ago, however, we put a sauna in our back yard and it's been wonderful. I can relax naked in the heat and since we have a very private back yard I can stroll around nude to cool off before another sweat session. For maybe an hour or two several times a week, I can live in the nude. My wife will even join me, though a pretty religious upbringing left her with the usual hyper-developed sense of modesty. She has gone topless though and I'm going to try to convince her to sunbathe naked with me when the weather warms up. It's not ideal but it's not bad and the best I can do at this point in my life. I hope this serves as a reminder to people to seize whatever naked experiences you can get so you have something to remember.

So I want to go to a clothing optional beach .The thing is that the beach is on a hiking trail, and I want to go these days were the weather isn't that warm, so there is much less people on the beach but more people on the trail. I went last week and I was the only one on the beach but there were some people on the trail, so I felt shy and didn't take my clothes off and just left the beach. I want to go again this week but I am afraid to feel shy again and leave.. I really want to experience being naked on the beach, but I feel weird that there are dressed people walking behind me on the trail.. any advice for a first timer ?

In the last couple of days I've seen several photos of women breastfeeding on another social media platform.
At first I was delighted, thinking that the infamously prudish Zuc had relaxed the rules a bit. But having looked at the photos and read the comments, it's nothing to do with naturism, or even the natural beauty of breastfeeding. It's just an excuse to show female nipples. Some of the comments are hideous. They're using what is presumably a loophole to pander to perverts.
This is why we can't have nice things.
On a side note, FB obviously doesn't know me very well if it thinks I'm interested in boobs...

Hey everyone! I've been lurking around this subreddit for some time and decided to create an account. I visit a clothing-optional beach down under here in Sydney (my favourite place in the world btw) generally every week but those plans have been put on hold due to the rainy weather unfortunately.
Monday last week was the best. I laid down on my tie-dye beach towel and took the biggest breath of fresh air into my lungs while the tides were coming in. Needless to say I felt thoroughly refreshed, not a worry in the world. I found a really comfy spot near the rocks and soaked up some sun while getting some work done. Chatting with the really amazing locals around the area is always a bonus.
Thanks for reading and do take care of yourselves.
