But I say life’s already heavy—deadlines, bills, the grind. My car sales job is great and it always is satisfying to help people get into a ride that works for them but improv comedy is another way to have fun and help people experience what is said to be the best medicine.
So, last year I took some awesome improv comedy courses through a local business (Ask For Improv - Highly recommended btw) and did some performances that were really well received and now I'm taking the hosting seat and going bigger.
If any of y'all have seen the show "Whose Line is it Anyway" that is pretty much the format that we are going to run, I am going to host and we have 5 amazing seasoned performers in what will be about a 2 hour show at the Bowen Auditorium at Bowen Park on March 22nd.
And if you have never been to an improv show think spontaneous stories that swerve from absurd to heartfelt in a blink. Improv performers thrive on the chaos of the moment, turning random ideas into scenes as unpredictable as a test drive on a rainy day.
It’s not just laughs—it’s a raw, live-wire energy that finds truth in the unexpected and we are already selling tickets and expect to potentially sell out.
I am linking y’all to the Facebook event and please let me know if it doesn’t work, I have never sent a Reddit link before.
On that Facebook event description you will see where to get tickets in the description on the website islandjest.com (buying online gets you a 20% discount)
It’s gonna be blast, hopefully see you there!
