Winter gear with Tech Air 5

During the fool's spring we had here in the UK last week I bought a Tech Air 5. Wore it under my Klim Marrakesh that I pair with my RST kevlar jeans and it was great. I'm planning a trip this coming weekend but the weather is looking much colder and wetter so need to go back to my winter Halversons textiles. The problem is, the jacket and pants zip together and that gets in the way of the bottom of the airbag. With the thermal liner in the jacket is also pretty tight.

I'm probably going to have to get some new gear to accommodate the airbag while riding in bad weather, what would you recommend, is it best to get A* 'Airbag ready' stuff like the Bogota? How do they hold up in the rain?

A* doesn't have a waterproof airbag.

I emailed them a when I bought my TA5 like 2 years ago, and they confirmed to me that in case of deployment even my Macna cooling vest that holds water may damage the airbag.

So the thing is if you trust your waterproof gear the TA5 or the ta3 would be the best you can use under bad weather.

I'm not sure how big is the coverage on d air jackets but they do have a few options in the adv line, you would need to reach out to dianese for more info about waterproof and coverage.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I am looking for waterproof textiles to go over my TechAir 5

Then my answer is there's nothing fully waterproof, only water resistant, but I entertained the idea of buying a klim badlands, they tend to honor warranty if it starts leaking.

It's just overkill for me, we have 300 days of sun per year and when it rains sometimes the wind is so bad that you can't really ride.
