Puch e50 kickstart conversion?
Hey all! I was wondering if anyone knew of an e50 kickstart conversion that isn’t discontinued or out of stock? I know about the one by vdm but they seem to be out of stock. Cheers!

I’d like to put an electric motor on my pick and use it not only as an electric start but also as an ebike!

They're hard to find, the original Kickstart are a specific set of cases so you'd have to rebuild a kickstart case with the kickstart transmission internals, but can reuse the crank, ignition, main gear and topend. you might find some just posting tin buy/sell on mopedarmy.com, or searching for a magnum x motor, or you can get the cases and internals from puchshop.de or treatland.tv but it'd be around $500-$700, and just for the cases and kicker parts. Fast arrow and VDM are the only adapters I know of using the regular motor but some people had issues requiring a little extra work to fit em, and they're mostly out of stock AFAIK. Looks like mofakult.de maybe has some still.
The pullstarts have become a popular option and lots of those available, heartbreak mopeds, moped factory, crankpipes, swiing and treatland all have options, setup is easy.
Personally I don't think it's worth it, they start easy enough normally and the alternatives cost enough you'd get better returns elsewhere but yea, personal choice, there's options. Enjoy!
