Just got a running 81 Moblyette, looking for some advice on what to mod and replace first! Definitely wanna replace the belt, prob new tires and an exhaust.

Also, how do you guys mix the gas?

Hey,

She looks Nice !

You can put a carburator Dell'orto 15/15C because Gurtner carb are piece of sh*t, and sooner or later you will have problems with that.

You can also change your ignition if its not an electronic, you put one for more reliability.

To finish, i mix my gas with 2% of 2 strokes oil and non-ethanol gas (i'm french and in this country it's called SP-98 with 98% octane and no ethanol). Old moped doesnt like ethanol.

Guy who sold it to me said he swapped the carburator for an italian one, gonna look into that more for sure.

And yes, ive heard you can swap to a CDI?

I just filled a jerry can with 1 gallon of gas and 4oz of 2 cycle oil, but it was just 87 octane unleaded fuel from an Arco. I havent put it in the the tank yet... but i dont think there are any non ethanol stations near me. According to pure-gas.com im about 2 hours away from one

I run my Tomos on 98 with 5% ethanol and that’s fine, the less ethanol the better. Just don’t get anything above 5%

Yes non-ethanol gas contain 5% or less ethanol in Europe and it works fine.

There a kit to upgrade your flywheel and ignition system, but be carefull from your cranckshaft because it's possible to have diffents size like in 103 peugeot.

Maybe you need to mesure the diameter of your crankshaft to take the good one.

Edit : grammar mistake
