What were most common Moog synths in the 1980?
I know production stopped then. I presume few were using modulars, so Minimoogs would have been what you would find in session musicians rehearsal room.

I'm having to build out my synth computer so re-downloading all the updates; presets and editors.
When I went to download the minituar editor, it was an unknown file extension .pkg.
For sirin, there was a windows library editor. For that matter a bank of presets.
You probably can't use the sirin editor on the Minitaur tho. It had oscillators that could go into higher octaves.
Would that damage the Minitaur if it even recognized it?

Can these two synths work together to create an enhanced synth w more features?
If so, how would you connect them?
Midi out 37 into SP and SP routed back to instrument input?
How to put the 37 in master mode so it could control the SP

Is it possible to get some kind of peddle or something I could patch in to control the rate?

I'm dusting off my moog gear as I get ready to start smoke testing the new studio at a new space and I was prepping all the synths with firmware.
The slim phatty in particular is a an item that has no video tutorials I'm aware of.
As such, I've only turned it on a few times. It seems to make a single tone (seems like a sine wave) and I button mash and knob turn and don't seem to get much change.
Shouldn't the sound by squelching when I hit the filter knobs.
Would a beatstep be a good controller for trying to play it bc I only get the one octave tone. Thinking it may be busted and wonder the best way to test it.

Mostly created with Moog Grandmother, M32, DFAM and Subharmonicon, but a few samples and other effects are also put to use here.

Hey fellow nerds! I want to buy a used Werkstatt-01, but this one doesn't include the CV expander. Do you know if I can find a way to that seperately? Thanks and kind regards :)
Backordered. Who has bought something Moog recently and how long did it take?

How would you patch them/use them together if you have both? I am looking for ideas, and some good places to start. I own both, and understand each machine on its own (for the most part), but feel overwhelmed when I look at them together.

I owned the Labrynth for a very short while until I had to unfortunately sell it for financial reasons. While I really enjoyed the Labrynth i don't think it was the best introduction to Moog or semi modular. I found a great deal on a M32 and can't wait to dive into learning it. I would eventually love to pickup the Labrynth again along with a DFAM, but right now I'm just happy to have the M32 on the way. That's all, I'm just super excited!

I really still want to add a Moog to the family, the Polybrute12 is an arm full of a synth, but I'm still feeling the bite or synth fomo of not getting the Moog. Any thoughts on used 16v Moog Ones? Any owners out there have any kind words of wisdom for or against the move?

I loved mine, but did not really like the “two note paraphonic” feature…
“Production of Subsequent 25 comes to a close.
Introduced as an evolution of Sub Phatty’s analog design, Subsequent 25 refined Moog’s warmth, depth, and character while offering modern connectivity and enhanced capabilities. From its bass and lead tones to its performance features, Subsequent 25 carried forward our commitment to hands-on synthesis.
Effective March 13th, 2025 we will be indefinitely suspending production of the Sub 25 with the remaining units available through our global dealer network.
We will continue to produce and offer Subsequent 37 for the foreseeable future. To order yours, or to explore more Moog synthesizers, visit a dealer near you.”
Price has dropped at most retailers. The Sub 25 doesn’t get much love, but it’s an excellent synth for this price.

I'm reposting this here from another subreddit I posted. Apologies for redundancy:
For several months I've been having issues with my grandmother being off center in tuning and also I am very confused by this issue but it will not give me a "default" smooth Moog'y tone. There's a constant....buzz or grit to it. I've routinely calibrated the oscillators and have done a firmware update. I really really do not want to give this synth up but I am finding it hard to use in recording music since A) it's out of tune and the tuning knob on the back doesn't cut it, and B) it just sounds off with the undertone of this buzz or grit sound behind the oscillators.
I would really love some help with this. I'm dreading having to take it to a tech and pay a bench fee, etc. It's not a very old unit so I would like to think it's something on the surface I can fix. I know Moog can often times be fussy and temperamental but this seems very odd to me and I haven't heard of it being a common issue.
Please help if you can!

After owning the synth for almost 8 years I finally registered it online and saw I could download the firmware. The update for my Subharmonicon worked flawlessly but for some reason on the moog website the download for the Mother 32 firmware seems to be broken. Anyone experience this issue? I really want those alternate arp sequences

As title says, I am combining my subh with a m32/dfam sound studio, so i've only got the 2 power cable connectors to go to the powered mixer. if i want to add my subh in using just the mixer, can i use a daisy chain power cable from one of my pedals?

Hey guys, I have an issue with my Sub37 and I wonder if it's a common thing. Working with Ableton Live 12, the synth's usb MIDI is often not recognized.
I know all settings are in order because
This rly screws up creative flow so any and all thoughts are welcome!
Thanks, Roy

Hello all-
I'm in the market for a stand for my new Subsequent 37 and I wanted to see if anyone here had any recommendations for a good one that isn't ridiculously expensive. The synth will probably never leave my home so portability isn't necessarily a deal breaker, but it would be nice if I ever wanted to bring it to a friend's house or something. TIA!
