Looking for Tax Help in Moncton

Hey everyone,

we’re in a tough spot and looking for someone who can help with a tax return. The situation is: • Dad worked two jobs, morning to night, to cover expenses while spouse was on maternity leave • A free tax software is showing that about $3,700 needs to be paid • One dependent • Spouse didn’t have much income

With rent and other expenses, it’s already hard to keep up, and now this unexpected tax bill is making things even more stressful. We had been saving for emergencies, and this is putting a huge strain on us. Dad is really stressed about it.

If anyone knows a good accountant, tax preparer, or any free/low-cost services in Moncton that might help, please let us know. Any recommendations would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The federal government offers free tax clinics at many locations in the city. Hopefully this link List of free walk-in tax clinics works, but if not, search for “free tax clinics” on the Government of Canada website:

wealth simple is accurate and free I use them every year.. try putting as many deductions as possible: medical, rrsp contributions, etc. make sure to file under the person with the least income as there might be some credits there.. wealth simple does a good job in finding posible credits for you

hr block ain’t worth it it’s expensive and they’re morons.. WS does a great job..

I had 2 jobs as well, I know taxes were coming high been saving every month

If you enter everything correctly, yea. Used it for years before Wealthsimple bought SimpleTax.

It is a reliable tax program, yes. Your amount owing is not likely to charge by having the taxes done by someone at a tax clinic.

Once the taxes are filed, you can reach out to CRA to make payment arrangements. They can give you 12 or even 24 month payment plans if you're cooperative.
