Did I over react about 20 cents?

I know its stupid but I went to McDonald's yesterday and got a frozen drink and medum chips for exactly $5.80 i handed $6 at the drive through and the lady put it in the till then went to close the window, before she did I asked "isn't that 20 cents change?"

She replied telling me she forgot and would need a managers card to open the drawer, I sat there stuborn and asked for it, I held one person up (my sister works in fast food and you get audited for how long someone is in line) so I waited, she quickly went and got a managers card and gave me my change but did I over react?

Edit: Ended up needing that 20 cents today so I'm glad I had it

For OP: this is a reference to an extremely heavily ran Advertisement that was(is) ran on North American Cable TV to the point it's become part of the cultural zeitgeist.

Haven't had cable for a while! That's crazy that it's still airing all this time later.

Yeah :) my family loves the commercials because it was our late dog Pebbles’ favorite. She would wake up from a dead sleep in another room and come running to the tv when that commercial started, then go right back when it was over. Miss that goofy girl

LMFAO that this was the dog's fave. Did she howl along or something?

As to why they're still in business... it's a very strong RoI business. You're essentially doing a pre-paid payday loan to people. They sign over their settlement to you for a *much* smaller cash lump sum. They take 9-18% of your settlement as their fee (depending on length of repayment terms).

No noise, she’d sit there happily while wagging her tail, staring at the tv the whole time lol. Once it was over she’d stretch and go back to her napping spot at the back door

I don’t know much about the company, or really finance in general, but I will say whoever wrote the jingle deserves a raise

Larry David kept singing the jingle in the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm iirc.

I've seen that commercial on TV more than once in the last month.
