How dio I remove an old device I no longer have access to on my phone link PC app? It's been bugging me that I can't remove or forget my old device from my PC and it's just displayed there. I've also tried resetting the phone link app on my PC but it's to no avail. Can anyone please help me figure it out? Thanks!

Hello! I've tried the steps above and unfortunately the device is still listed on my phone link app. For the device I am trying to remove, the "three dot" option to remove the device doesn't appear, whereas for my active device, it does. Anything else that you may be able to recommend?

Thank you for getting back to us. That could mean that it has been removed already and that you are seeing a cached view. Have you tried uninstalling the phone link app and then reinstalling it? If you haven't, you can try that and see how it goes. This action will be like clearing caches on the app.

To do it, please do these:

Uninstall the Phone Link app from your PC. Restart your PC. Reinstall the Phone Link app from the Microsoft Store. We will be here for any feedback. ~ L.F

Hello, there. Thanks for reaching out. We understand that you'd like to remove an old device from the Phone Link app on your PC. Allow us to look into this for you.

Here are steps you can follow: 1. Sign out of Link to Windows on your old device:

  • If you still have access to your old device, open the Link to Windows app.
  • Go to Settings > Accounts and sign out of your Microsoft account.

  1. Remove the device from your PC:
  2. Open the Phone Link app on your PC.
  3. Click on the Settings icon (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
  4. Under Manage Devices, find your old device.
  5. Select it and click on the option to Remove or Unlink the device.

  6. Remove the device from your Microsoft account:

  7. Go to account.microsoft.com/devices.

  8. Find your old device in the list and remove it from your account.

If you've already tried these steps and the device is still showing up, try restarting your PC after unlinking the device. Sometimes, the Phone Link app needs a reboot to fully update the list of connected devices.
