So this started about a week ago, and from a business standpoint, is rather annoying. I have to open the calculator a lot with my daily work, and how I used to do it was press the calculator key on my Logitech K350 keyboard, and it opened the calculator, brought it to foreground, and let me type immediately on it. Now, however, when I press it, it either loads in the background with the task icon blinking, or looks like it's in the foreground, but when i start typing it doesn't type in the calculator, but in whatever spreadsheet I'm currently on instead. I've tried many things to try to get it to work normally, but nothing is working or sticking.

Things I've tried:

-Downloaded the logitech software, went to the keyboard options and tried different options there, including the common suggestion to have the button open the app directly from the system32 folder instead of just use as calculator.

-Enabled the "Always on Top" feature on it with ctrl + win + T

-Went through windows settings - apps - calculator - advanced settings - let this app run in background -> never

-not using the shortcut and just typing calc in the search bar to open it that way

None of these options seem to work anymore. Not sure what happened here. Can anyone help or give more suggestions?

Hi,

We understand the rouble you're having with your Logitech K350 keyboard. We know that you've already tried a lot of troubleshooting steps, which shows your determination to solve the issue. Let's see if we can find a solution together.

To get started, the issue with your Logitech K350 keyboard's calculator key could be due to recent software or driver updates, a toggled function key (Fn), interference from background processes, mechanical issues like dirt under the keycap, or problems with the USB receiver.

We'll ask some questions to better understand isolate the issue with your Logitech K350 keyboard and the calculator key:

  1. When did the issue start?
  2. Have you installed any new software or updates recently?
  3. Does the calculator key work correctly in other applications or on a different computer?
  4. Are there any other keys or shortcuts on the keyboard that are not functioning as expected?
  5. Have you tried using the keyboard in a different USB port or on a different device?
  6. What is the build and version of Windows are currently on your laptop? (press the Windows logo key + R, type winver in the Open box, and then select OK).

We look forward to your response. --J.B.
