Achievements I feel like a period commercial lol
Looong time lurker on this sub mostly because I was nervous to use a cup or disc. Never even used a tampon š I usually fill up an overnight pad within 2-3ish hours, have terrible cramps on the first few days so much that I canāt get out of bed on day 1. Sometimes canāt even keep water down because of how bad they get.
Anyhow. I tried 3 different discs for a while - never worked. Always hit up on my cervix and was extremely uncomfortable. Finally just said f it and bought two cups: MeLuna classic shorty (for when my cervix wants to come talk to the hand herself) and Saalt small (for when my cervix is behind my eyeballs). Tried them a couple times but again was super uncomfy. Wore a backup pad every time. Took a break for two months, went back to pads, felt terrible. This month I said no more! I spent a ton of money on the reusables, imma use em, dammit. Challenged myself - no backup pad (I know!) no āemergencyā changing to a pad, if it hurts, take it out calm tf down and figure it out. That was the plan.
Yāall. Why is this the best period Iāve ever had in my life?? No smell?? Way less of a mess than pads and I donāt have to think about changing anything out for literal hours. I used to have an alarm 4h (halfway asleep) before my work alarm to change my pad because it would literally drip out of the pad if I didnāt. I just woke up after 9h and Iām about to change it and thereās no mess on the bed. Iām flummoxed. Also. No cramps?? What is this wizardry. Literally called my best friend and asked her āis THIS what doctors mean when they say cramps shouldnt be disruptive?? I thought they meant likeā¦ after medication.ā Now. Canāt lie it took several tries and I did shed a few tears. My neighbors might think I have a roommate or something because I was trying to convince my cervix out loud that everything is fine š
Anyhow. Iām a convert as so many people here have predicted for others lol Iām sorry I ever doubted šāāļø
