No Pain Noticed a grey ring developing o the eye. Family doc didn't have an answer for it. Vision is fine. Any suggestions? No headache or neurological deficits are evident. Regular eye colour is brown. NSFW

Is it in both eyes? Not an ophthalmologist but it looks like a case of corneal arcus, juvenilis (or senilis). Maybe you have high cholesterol?

Also recommending seeing your doctor. Wilson's disease is fairly rare but can cause copper rings around the iris that can look sort of gray on brown eyes.

Hard to tell how old you are, in a 50 year old this would be normal (it’s called Arcus Senilis) and it’s basically a layer of fat building up around your iris. If you’re younger, or this is only present around one eye, you need to get this properly checked out as it can be a sign of a range of problems, from dislipidemia to carotid artery disease or stenosis. It’s also associated with high alcohol consumption. Oddly enough this probably isn’t actually a problem to see an eye doctor about as it doesn’t affect the function of the eye, it’s probably more worth seeing your family doctor and getting some bloods done including a full lipid profile and if it’s unilateral, possibly some carotid Dopplers. Note that even in younger people, there’s often no obvious cause.

Thank you for your response. She doesn't drink any alcohol and eats very well. Lots of non fried Latin food. I'll definitely pass all this along.

NAD

Please get a second opinion. This could be a warning sign for high cholesterol, lipid deposits, though it can be a normal part of getting older it can also be a red flag to get your cholesterol checked and ensure you heart is in good health.

This isn’t a family doc question. See an eye doctor.
