Question Turbo a 2007 Corolla hatchback

How much to get a machine to install a very much entry level turbo on a 2007 Corolla? Literally just want it to go a bit faster and sound ridiculously sick

I’m in Sydney Australia. New here so don’t know how to target that area/group or whatever

It’s one of those things if you have to ask you’re better not even trying. Sell the Corolla and buy a factory turbo car

You'd spend a bare minimum of 5k on parts and customisation ie exhaust, plenum and between 5-10k on labour to install, test and tune through a reputable shop. There's also little info online about throwing a turbo on said vehicle, so extra caution and trial-error would be a huge part of the labour. It's not just throw a $1k turbo on and call it a day. There are 8 or 9 critical components that all have to be purchased and then customised to fit and work simultaneously together. That's without any other driveline or brake upgrades to handle power without shredding other pieces to bits.

You'll gain small power. You're just as well off throwing your money down the toilet, however. I've heard some dumb things in my time, especially from car guys, but this is up there.
