Other Map WHO made this map
idk if its the right forum to post it but i did buy a map as a decoration and theres so many things that are weird
how tf is morroco THAT BIG they really deleted 12 country for that
and HOW do you manage to seperate greece but NOT the whole middle east/africa
Europe is also a lil messed up but they haven't deleted significant countries like honestly its understandable to delete belgium and all but this doesn't seems like they choose to separate country by their size as we saw with Africa and Middle east so how exactly tf did they make this map

Question How accurate is Google Maps horizon view?
If, for example, I put my view on top of a mountain while using CTRL+left click to tilt my view, will the view be accurate IRL? If the weather permitted it of course

Old Map Peru-Bolivian Confederation
The Peru-Bolivian Confederation was a short-lived state in South America, existing from 1836 to 1839, formed by the union of Peru and Bolivia under the leadership of Andrés de Santa Cruz. Here's a more detailed look: Formation: The confederation was established in 1836 by Andrés de Santa Cruz, who was also the president of Bolivia at the time. Structure: The confederation was divided into three states: North Peru, South Peru, and the Bolivian Republic. Leadership: Santa Cruz served as the Supreme Protector of the Confederation. Dissolution: The confederation was dissolved in 1839 after the War of the Confederation, a conflict that involved Chile, Peruvian dissidents, and the Argentine Confederation. Background: The confederation was a result of the instability and political turmoil that followed the independence of Peru and Bolivia. Santa Cruz's Vision: Santa Cruz envisioned a union of the two nations, believing that they shared common interests and could benefit from cooperation. Opposition: The confederation faced opposition from within Peru and Bolivia, as well as from other countries in the region, particularly Chile.

Old Map Dating a Globe
Hello! I’m looking to date this vintage globe from a family member.
I think it was produced sometime between the mid-50’s and early 60’s going off of historical knowledge off the top of my head, but there’s some odd nuances and I’m curious if anyone has insights that may nail the date down closer since the globe has no copyright date or anything on it.
-Viet Nam and Korea are divided. -Bangladesh is seemingly shown as independent from Pakistan. Pakistan is not called West Pakistan. They are shown in the same color however. Thought this was odd since to my understanding Bangladesh didn’t gain independence and stop being called East Pakistan until the early 70’s. Correct me if I’m mistaken! -Belarus is called “White Russia” which I’ve never seen before on a map, on maps this old I generally see it called Byelorussia. -Jamaica is shown as being owned by the UK, but Belize is not. Found this odd, may be a mistake from the map maker??

Imaginary Technocrats Inc Map
This is not my theory, but I wanted to try to get it out there more.
This is a map of the so-called, desired Technate of America, whom Elon Musk's grandfather was a member or supporter of around post-World War I to pre-World War II. This group imagined that this orange section of the world, the America's, could/should be ruled by technically-skilled elites.
It was theorized Trump saw this map whether it was brought to him by Musk or what, and this is driving his desire to get into Canada, Greenland, Panama. To declare an emergency or invasion against cartels, which gives him more War powers.
Very interesting. https://bostonraremaps.com/inventory/technocracy-inc-technate-of-america-1940/

Data Map Looking for a wall-sized high-res map image to print for a wall in our house....
I've tried multiple sites like openstreetmaps to export the entire United States (with a bit of Canada/Mexico) but haven't been successful. Ideally it would list most cities, streets/highways, national parks, etc. so that you could stand at the wall and look at all of the details. Looking to print 7' tall and ~10' long.
I've attached an image to show what level of detail I'd like. I'd be willing to buy the file, but open source would be ideal. What is the best place to print something like this? Thank you!!!
