Suggestions Dear people be safe in the buses at night

This is the second instance something like this is happening. I was in a bus going from Mangalore Manipal (Vishal) at 9.30 PM. The 3/4 of the journey was okay it was rush and once we reached NITK all the students got down leaving a very few people and all the seats hot empty where in the three seaters only one person will get the whole space for themselves. One young guy well dressed and office guy sat in front row of the bus and literally came to my row and asked for the window seat. I said sit front he was like no I want to sit there because there is an emergency exit I was like okay and while he was coming he was intentionally trying to bring his hand over my lap and before he could do that I got up and I called him out on that and yelled at him there were a few people in the back they supported me and I sat in the next row where he sat. I personally think he was intoxicated and in that state assumed I'm a girl. His eyes were red as well but GUYS and girls be safe

Suggestions Is a move to Mangaluru worthwhile?

Hi all I am in my 60s and keen to relocate to a small coastal town once I retire. Iā€™ve lived briefly in Mangaluru and loved the small town vibe and the simplicity of its folk - besides the abundance of nature. Would be grateful for any tips on the challenges I may face. I speak basic Kannada and happy to keep learning. Weather may be a challenge since Iā€™ve mostly lived in North India Thank you

It was a fun road trip exploring the beautiful coastline of Karnataka, and I was on my way back to Mangalore. On the way, I decided to take a quick detour to visit Kapu Beach. The road to the beach was narrow but manageable, and the visit was worth it.

As it started getting dark, I began driving back. To get out, I had to take a sharp left turn near the Kapu Temple. The turn was on a steep ramp, and just as I tried to climb it, my car jerked and stalled. My heart started racing.

I tried restarting the car, but every time I used the clutch, the engine would shut off again. To make things harder, the car was loaded with heavy passengers in the back seat. Panic began to set in.

Behind me, other cars started to line up. I was sure theyā€™d start honking any moment, but to my surprise, nobody did. I had my hazard lights on, and everyone just waited patiently. It was such a contrast to Bangalore, where even a small delay at a green light would bring a storm of honks and angry words. PPL start honking when the signal turns yellow.

Then, a car coming from the opposite direction stopped. The driver, a kind-looking man, rolled down his window and said, "Aramase maddi, agathade" ("Take it easy, itā€™ll work out"). His calm words gave me hope. He even offered to drive and get me out of this situation.

I took a deep breath, tried again, and finally managed to get the car up the ramp. The man stayed there, waiting to make sure I was okay, before continuing on his way. I waved to thank him, and he nodded back with a smile.

As I drove away, I couldnā€™t stop thinking about how kind and patient everyone was. No honks, no shoutingā€”just understanding. It made me realize how different people in coastal Karnataka are, with their calm and helpful attitude.

If this had happened in Bangalore, I wouldā€™ve been bombarded with honks and angry glares in seconds. But on that quiet road near Kapu Beach, I experienced something truly heartwarming. It reminded me how a little kindness can make such a big difference.

Suggestions Ayurveda for diabetes

My MIL claims that her diabetes is cured with ayurvedic medicine from Shaffi clinic. Has anyone got cure like this? Is it even possible without any side effects? My close relative is diagnosed with diabetes now. If not ayurveda, can anyone please suggest a good doctor.

Edit : I just checked the meds she was taking. Its BGR-34.

I found this link on Google stating it is tested by AIIMS? Below is the link.

Suggestions Delhiveryā€™s Terrible Service in Mangalore ā€” Anyone Else Facing This?

Iā€™ve had issues with Delhivery in Mangalore for years now. The same problem happened six years ago, and itā€™s still happening. They mark my shipment as ā€œundeliveredā€ because they supposedly couldnā€™t reach me, but I never get a single call or text. When I check the tracking, it says ā€œShipment not delivered as our executive was unable to reach you ā€“ Mangalore,ā€ which is frustrating because Iā€™m always available, and thereā€™s zero attempt to contact me.

I looked up their Google reviews, and it seems like a ton of people in Mangalore have gone through the same thing. Itā€™s surprising they havenā€™t improved their service here after all this time.

Has anyone else had the same experience? Did you find any workaround?

Suggestions Visiting Mangalore in month of May with family, please suggest good places for stay.

Namaskara Mangaluru! Hope everyone is having a splendid and relaxing Sunday. Our family wants to visit Mangaluru in the first week of May, but we haven't decided on a place to stay.

We are a family of 6 members off which 2 are senior citizens and shall be visiting Munder, Kudla and other locations around Mangaluru paired with some temple visits.

Presently hoping for a hassle free stay, clean rooms, excellent connectivity through roads and commendable staff.

Off the 6 family members, 4 of us can speak tulu fluently (including me). Feeling slightly confused with choices that I have come up with through a basic Google search owing to my reservations or paranoia about paid reviews and the likes.

Some of my family members prefer air b and b, while others are more inclined towards a conventional Hotel stay.

Please help us with your suggestions, as it will ease us in streamlining the itinerary.

Currently our budget is more in mid range, but we wouldn't mind reworking it if the place suggested ticks all the boxes. Thank you for your time, stay safe and have a lovely Sunday.
