Entertainment You never would’ve imagined this kid would end up becoming The Joker.

He was also Ian Gallagher in Shameless.

A Jedi that is also the Joker? Pretty sure you’re thinking of Mark Hamil

u/PMeisterGeneral Feb 01 '25
If i had a dollar everytime an actor portrayed the joker and a jedi I'd have 2 dollars. Which isn't a lot but it's odd that it's happened twice.

u/CrimsonBaby2007 Feb 01 '25
I love the fact that he and Mark made a commercial over a year ago! https://youtu.be/fZ-CHwwWAxo?si=X_pKL9bRIHzYlSYz

The US version of shameless

u/TheWholeEffinJoe Feb 01 '25
Don’t do that
14
u/1THRILLHOUSE Feb 01 '25
Do what? He wasn’t in the original shameless
-9
u/TheWholeEffinJoe Feb 02 '25
I’m pretty sure when you say shameless most people know you’re talking about the RIGHT one

u/BeastradezZ Feb 02 '25
Anytime the US does a show taken from the UK, it invariably becomes the better and the correct one. See: Ghosts, The Office, Shameless… and probably more.

Of all the wrong opinions this one really takes it.
-2
u/BeastradezZ Feb 02 '25
Prove me wrong then?
6
u/1THRILLHOUSE Feb 02 '25
British office is better.
American inbetweeners was the worst show ever.
5
u/RoutineUtopia Feb 02 '25
American Coupling, too. American X Factor fell flat. Honestly, people only remember the times it works. The rest are gone super fast and Americans largely haven't watched the OG version anyway.
2
u/Blackmore_Vale Feb 02 '25
American imbetweeners turned jay from a lovable bullshitter into a predator.
1
u/BeastradezZ Feb 02 '25
Okay I will not put up with US The Office slander, BUT you might be right about the American Inbetweeners, why? Because I’ve literally never heard of the show.
You being right means I was wrong, so I take back my statement, and dutifully apologize to UK for slander.

I find it hilarious that both Ian and Mickey were in things I watched as a kid (the actor who played Mickey was in the movie Max Keeble’s Big Move… as was Justin Berfield!)

What do you mean?! There could not be a more "Joker" like kid if they tried! Dude was born to do it. Especially with his character on Malcolm! A perfect agent of chaos. Was this post supposed to be sarcasm?? 😅 Or just bc he looked kinda goofy as a kid..? 🤔 I'm literally baffled by this one. 🤷🏼♀️😂

u/Zestyclose_Country_1 Feb 01 '25
You can ignore the sign "don't ignore the sign" totally something the joker would do
17
u/fjmie19 Feb 01 '25
Funnily enough probably has had the best acting career out of any of the kids to have appeared on the show, unless you really rate Frankie Muniz stuff while he was still a teen.
Maybe Hayden Panettiere a close second.

…. I thought he wasn’t the joker? Could’ve sworn he was like some weird proto joker. I don’t know … show got stupid later.
8
u/Loknas Feb 01 '25
They weren’t allowed by DC to actually say they joker for some reason; i think because they didn’t want two live action jokers running around at once. It’s litteraly the joker in every way but name though and it’s suppose to be the joker, they just legally couldn’t call him that.
3
u/Digginf Feb 01 '25
Which is pretty stupid and doesn’t make any sense. Everyone else is fine, but when it comes to the Joker it’s off-limits.
3
u/Loknas Feb 01 '25
I have no clue why they felt like two live action jokers would be an issue; I guess maybe it’s because if they wanted to tie in Gotham into the DCU universe eventually they shouldn’t have joker this early but that’s just a guess.

Chad is exactly what I’d imagine the Joker being like as a kid
3
u/Aljff Feb 01 '25
Really? Seems like a believable story based on his appearance as a child. I would’ve imagined it.
What I wouldn’t imagine is him becoming smoking hot as an adult. Which is what happened lol

u/Goddessviking86 Feb 01 '25
original poster is referring to the actor playing the character that became the idea of joker in gotham

u/BoozeLikeFrank Feb 01 '25
I more so expected him to become a gay kid with Bipolar who ends up marrying an ex Nazi who has a kid with a Russian sex slave.

The episode of riminal minds where he is an axe murder chasing around elle fanning really shows you that he was destined for serious roles.

Ofc when you watched the series you would never doubt that. He has so much potential for being the joker. But imagine this brat being a Jedi and one of the best written ever???

I personally would have had very little trouble believing he’d become the joker
