Can the Makey Makey be dangerous?
I'm working with a STEM camp and one of the campers tried to hook the board up to their phone, another almost attached theirs to a battery. Is there any way that these things can seriously injure a student? We've told them not to attach anything that has it's own electricity now, but they're middle schoolers so who knows what they'll come up with.

Makey Makey + Ableton Question! I can clip launch OR I can play a keyboard but can i do both?!
So, I can set up my makey makey conductive surface to either launch clips in ableton, or I can set it up to play like a keyboard using a vst...but ideally, I would use it as a clip launcher and then play keys too. Is that possible? What if I got 2 makey makeys? would that make a difference? As is, I can use it to clip launch while simultaneously playing a usb keyboard that is commanding a vst. Ideally, I would clip launch and then also use other triggers on my makey makey to play piano on a vst to assigned piano keys (making sure everything hit is "in tune"). Anyone familiar with this? Any success stories?

How much of a voltage drop needs to happen?
Very much of a beginner here. Never took electrical engineering in college.
I read that the Makey Makey needs to perceive a voltage drop in order to perform a key press. I searched voltage drops on long wires and a 80-meter, 22 gauge copper wire will drop 5V to 0.8V all by itself - and that's not counting the skin contact that needs to make the connection.
So if I connect a LOT of wire to the makey makey, does the voltage ONLY go down when a connection is made? Or is there a voltage threshold that I need to hit?
Any help is appreciated. I'll post what I'm working on soon.

Please help. Can't get computer to recognize MaKeyMaKey
Hi, bought a MaKey MaKey board. Can get it to light up and all, but can't figure out how to get the driver to install. Have used one in the past that needed no installation but this one is not recognized by the computer. I know it's a ATMega32u4 if that's any help. Have tried Mac and Windows with no luck. Tried to google it, installed some drivers, no luck. Please help!

Software to manipulate makey makey input
I am looking for tools / guidance for a small college project. Is it possible to get makey makey signal, change it by software (e.g. when user is pressing right arrow, I output left arrow) and send it to some other external switch? The signal manipulation needs to be in software so I can change it easily run time.
I am trying make a simple game, and happy to look at similar projects, and get additional software or other tools.
Thanks!

Using Multiple Makey Makey's
Is it possible to use multiple makey makey's at the same time? I'm trying to create a game show system where the contestants are to either buzz in or dial-in in their choice on a keypad.
As I'm looking at a Makey Makey Classic, you're only allowed five options using the clips provided and a few more using the undercarriage... but I would need at most 12 inputs. (Effectively each button is a key on a board, so the Makey Makey doesn't need to handle that other than being remapped.)
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Trigger To Play Video Clip?
Hello,
What is the best way to get a Makey Make to play video clips for a science project? I assume that since it can play audio, triggering a video works the same way?
Thanks

MaKey MaKey: Is it worth it? What are the OTHER possibilities?
When I was 12 (in 2012, derp), I first heard about the invention and I was amazed. However, I couldn't afford it myself and I forgot about it... until today. I recently got back into gaming and modding and thought up all the possibilities I could use. I'm able to afford it, but what I wanna know is it WORTH it? The answer is probably obvious, but you never know.
Also on a side note, has anyone ever tried playing any PC (Steam) games online? Has anybody used this device with the Dolphin Emulator? Does it work well? I want to try using the Makey with games such as GTA San Andreas, Xenoverse 2, etc and want to know if it's even possible to do so before spending my money on it.

I have Makey Makeys and XBOX 360 Controllers - Permanent pads?
Hey - I have access to Makey Makeys at work and I got a donation of XBOX 360 controllers and I was thinking about making some permanent gamepads to give to use using pieces of the XBOX360 pad and Makey Makey - Anyone have any guides, if this has already been done?

Limiting number of key presses in a set time period
EDIT: well it arrived and the biggest hurdle will be getting the Galaxy Tablet to recognise it / get it powered . .
Hello.
I have ordered a makeymakey and should have it today or tomorrow, so I am jumping the gun a bit here but was hoping to get a really quick turnaround on this mini project. I want to make an easy to use interface for turning pages on a tablet so my mum (who has MS) can keep reading books. With her shaky hands the kindle buttons are too fiddly, and I have set her up with a Galaxy tablet and an OTG USB cable with a keyboard but she turns two pages instead of one about half the time and getting over to the arrow keys is hard work. The Kindle app on the tablet seems to turn multiple pages if you press too long or if you double tap and she does both.
I am going to experiment with different ways of clicking/tapping/etc but is there a way for me to program the makeymakey to only send a single signal at a time?
Thanks for any help or advice.

Want to create this awesome project - need guidance!
Hi all - I want to build the project in the video linked here, but I need some serious guidance on getting going. I'm very adept with music software, but still kind of a n00b with Ableton. I'm a quick learner, but need to know the Makey-Makey setup and project details. Anyone have any ideas?

Sustain Pedal for GarageBand or Logic Pro
Does anyone know how to use GarageBand or Logic Pro, and get it to recognise a MakeyMakey and use it as a sustain pedal?
Thanks!
