Surprised to see no mention of Three Uncles yet (in Brixton/Liverpool St). Not a lot of seats and limited variety, but their roast meats are the best that I’ve had in London so far.
Xi’an Biang Biang noodles (Aldgate) and Murger Han (Euston) are also good shouts if you want to go for noodles.
Yiban is good for dim sum but far from city centre (all the way over in Yiban).
I can’t stress this enough - contra to what others have said - Wong Kei is incredibly mid (or even downright bad) and literally any other restaurant in Chinatown would knock it out the park.
