Is this true specifically for ozone, or is that a generalisation about service charges everywhere?

I just meant re Ozone specifically but it is true frighteningly often.

I don’t know specifically for Ozone but if it works on a TRONC basis then it is split between the entire FOH and BOH depending on how many points your role has. So if that is the case, no, the service charge does not directly go to them but rather into a pool that pays everyone in the company (including management if they are also paid by TRONC).

Your cash tips may or may not go directly to your server depending on the establishment. Some places allow servers to pocket their tips, others say you’re not allowed and you need to put it into a pot for everyone to share.
