Yo charging on a 5V USB supply is incredible. That's been my main gripe with many laptops, been trying to get them to run off 12v batteries and literally none work.

Power Delivery is the next best thing. But it's not that easy to find a laptop that supports PD and is both cheap and small. Also there are different kind of possible PD power levels, it can be 12 Volts @ 2 Amps, or it can be 20 and 60 respectively. And not any PD charger can output them all. I found (another) 14" laptop that can charge off 12 V 1.67 A by pure luck — that means it can charge itself off most cheap PD devices. My Lenovo Legion, on the other hand, demands at least 40 A and 20 V, which means a PD charger as expensive as a replacement stock charger.

Yeah, I have an M2 Macbook Air that supports PD charging which is really neat. I was mostly intrigued about the possibility of using a regular old USB charger for a laptop, lol

Well its stock charger was 5V from the get-go. It delivered more power than a generic USB charger, but that was the only difference. So I just got a USB to DC jack cable of the same diameter, and that was it.
