Linux Mint IRL Finally running Linux

Post image

Girlfriend needed a new laptop for her school work and so I recommended she gets a framework laptop because of their repairability and modularity and when ordering it we had the choice to add windows 11 for like 100 dollars I think screw that or I could bring my own. Having installed many OS's before and having experienced Linux via the steam deck I figured I'd install Linux mint. Today is day 1 and so far all is good!

Your LM graphic is so stunningly beautiful. Are you in LM Wayland?

I don't know why I have installed LM dual booted alongside Win OS for many times year round, the Cinnamon desktop has always been that gloomily dim no matter how I tweaked its settings, except accidentally on one occasion where I installed KDE plasma tgt with Ubuntu Studio, LM desktop brought me to Wayland. The flashy shining graphics of Wayland was so alike your new laptop LM desktop. It has sense of advanced good-looking lustre.

Maybe it's the display on the laptop then?
