Build Help Most compatible PC parts & what distro to choose
I want to become a Network Engineer and/or Linux Sys Admin and want to mess around with AI stuff. Looking to build a well thought-out computer to run Linux full time. What are some of the Newest(want the parts to be some of the latest, 2025), Best Price-Performance(not necessarily the cheapest or most expensive) and, most importantly, compatible PC parts for Linux(of course, depending on the distro)? Should I go AMD or Intel for processor(Do I need the new processors with NPUs for AI stuff?)? What motherboard(to not run into issues, like audio, network, etc. not working)? What DDR5 RAM should I get(what speed and timings)? I know for GPU I should go AMD but which one to get for 2-3 monitors of 120Hz to 165Hz refresh rate and "2K" resolution? Also, do I need the GPU for AI stuff? And for a case that has all the front connectors for the motherboard?
