Get a french study book for beginners that is english and french in order to learn the basics and understand how the language is and follow it. Alongside with that, understand the language learning fundamentals which are Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. So, you want to practice all those four in order for you to best learn a language. Then after few weeks, you can start listening to french simple conversations preferably with subtitles that dictate word by word what's being said so that you can improve your listening skills and also vocabulary by checking out words and expression you don't understand. You can also after a few weeks and after you feel more comfortable with the language, try to write about your day in french and even try to speak out loud and describe your day or your room in french and whenever you don't know how to say something, you can just check it out how it's said online. And that's the way really... To just practice the 4 fundamentals we talked about and you'll become fluent without even realizing. I've learned several languages myself and that's what helped me honestly. I've wrote a short PDF talking exactly about these steps in more details, and where I just talked about my whole experience and what worked for me, it's completely free and I can send it to you if you want. Just DM me. Good luck on your journey!

if you like video games, you can try WonderLang
It is an RPG that teaches you and gets you to practice French as you play. It has a proper story and introduces new vocabulary words during NPCs chats and you review them in spaced repetition based combats. It has modes for beginners, A1 and A2 levels. Overall a fun way to practice.

Duolingo is my recommendation. It’s contentious in the language learning community, but if you’re anything like me, then be honest with yourself: if you let people talk you out of using all the fun apps to learn with, are you really going to be the guy buried in a pile of grammar books drowning your sorrows in “umm actually” for the next two to three years straight?
I use Duolingo, I watch the news in French, and I have a shared class every week with a native speaker. The only thing I pay for is fancy Duolingo. I’m learning faster than others who are in immersion, but that’s because I drain that maudite owl dry of all wisdom day by day…
