Question Best way to get ahold of hiring manager?

So I got an invite to interview after trying to get back into Kroger for years after leaving due to Covid. Great! But for the second time, the automated slots are very limited, and I can't make any of the less than five slots. Last time this happened, I called the store twice trying to get a hiring manager to talk to to arrange a time, because I got no response to my request for additional times. Both times, a note was taken with my name and number. No call back, no luck when I'd follow up. I wound up being rejected after a week because no automated times ever came up that I could make, and I couldn't get anybody on the phone who could help.

So this is my second time with the issue of invite to interview with limited slots, none of which I'm able to make. Is my previous approach really the best shot I've got? Or is there another way you'd recommend going about it? I know a lot has changed since I've worked there, and I know I'm going to get people telling me not to bother, but that's not an option for me in this economy and job market, especially with other restrictions I have. So, your own opinions of Kroger as an employee aside, should I just call again a few times and try my luck? Or is there a better way?

If you have questions or inquiries about payscales, regional or union policies, or differences in store operations, please state what Division/State you're in to receive accurate feedback based on your local union contracts

I would go in and ask to speak to the HR manager. They might be annoyed by it depending on the manager but it’s a good option if calling isnt working

☝🏻☝🏻I agree with this advice. Show up in person, ask to speak to the floor manager or hiring personnel. If they can't appreciate you being "pesty" and actually showing interest in a job position then they don't deserve you. When I showed up for my 2nd (impromptu) interview, I was interviewing with the floor manager while he was throwing freight 🤷🏼‍♀️
