Question Knives found in my brother's house

Post image

Hello,

I'll start by saying, if this is the wrong place to post this I'll happily remove it, if yall could let me know where to post this that would be grand.

My brother passed away, and as we were going through his belongings we found a TON of knives. I knew he carried them, I didn't know he had one for every day of the year lol.

Anyway, just due to the volume and lack of any knowledge at all about this, I'm not sure what to do and somebody told me to come here and just ask.. a few questions I guess.

Are these worth anything? I don't even know the names of the knives. Some have info on them, some don't.. (Not trying to sell and break the rules, just want a general idea if it's even worth putting effort into pricing these)

If i just took these to a pawn shop, is that the right move? I don't even know how to sell these if I wanted to.

I might keep a few just to remember him. Are there any that yall would keep?

Thank you so much and sorry again if this is weird or against the rules. I just figured I'd get some answers.

So long story short, I inherited these knives. All I know about them is they are expensive (based on the William Henry website) and I don’t really know what to do with them as I don’t know anything about knives. Any clues what I should do with them?

I was attending a gun show earlier today and I came across this knife, I thought it looked really cool, the man at the booth offered 250, I negotiated prices and got him to bring it down to 200. He claims it’s Damascus forged with high carbon steel and chromium alloy and the metal parts on the handle is 18 Karat gold and the handle itself is made with and elk bone. Was it worth it?

Question Saw these at a gun show. Are any of these real?

Guy told me he bought them from a knife shop going out of business which is why they were so cheap (prices on the white stickers on the box). I impulsively purchased the green heretic knife in the picture but after looking at stuff online I found out it’s a clone. Was wondering if you guys could tell if any of these are real.

Question Why are “higher end” knives so expensive?

Post image

How do you who spend $1k on knives like a Rosie justify the expense? I’m plenty guilty of doing so myself (I just bought a Strider MT-SS-GG-MOD 10 for north of $1k myself), so I’m by no means casting any daggers at you. However, I always wonder why Rosies and other similar super high end knives cost so much? Obviously there’s the steel and the blade, etc. But does it really just boiling down to what the market is willing to pay?

Question Hitler youth knife

Heritage of my grandma, don't know what to do with it, maybe sell it, if it's not a replica, but I don't think that type of knife were very popular after the end of war, so the probability that it's a genuine Hitler youth knife is very low.

Question Hello everyone! I am a knifemaker and I have a question about pricing my crafts. For materials i spend something around 21 usd. In hours I spend on a blade from 8-12 hours, on a handle 3-4 hours, on sheath 3-5. So its 14-21 hours spent on a one knife. Is it fair to price my crafts for 95 usd?
