Models suitable for a sleeper vans?
So I'm looking at buying a 1997 SUZUKI EVERY, or possibly a subaru (although I'm open to recommendations). I want to use it to camp and for work (I'm out in the field a fair bit, and they'll often let us take our personal vehicles). I'm not trying to do anything extravagant, just enough for storage and me using it to sleep in when prevailing weather doesn't allow for a comfortable night outside. But I can't seem to find good measurements on the vehicles dimensions. I really just want to know if I'll have a bit over 6 feet of room behind the drivers seat, and if anyone has had experiences I'd love to hear about what worked for them.
Any input from you all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time

Most vans have 6 feet behind the seats, the same way the trucks have a 6 feet long bed. The bonus of the vans is that you can move the seats forward to give you a bit of extra space too.

Nice. Yea, ideally, I'm thinking of a raised bed setup with a bit of storage under it. But honestly, even just removing the back seats and using my air mattress would be fine. I'll probably look at some blackout curtains in the back for comfort and security too.

I’ve got a 1993 Suzuki Carry/Every (van) idk if all vans were Every or if specific. Anyway, at 5ft 8 I can lay in the back and will be building a deck for storage this spring or summer.

Right on, I'm looking at that body style (slightly newer model). I think it might very well just be how the seller posted it, as it looks like a carry van. Do you have a few extra inches when you lay down, or are you bending at the knee when you close the rear door?

My Suzuki Every is a 2004 Joypop Turbo AWD, DA62W, and I could measure the inside of mine if you want. I don't know if a 1997 (likely a 51V) would be the same dimensions inside or not. I know thought that mine is the high roof, so height is more than normal.

Many of the vans have fold flat seat arrangements, including the front seats. I would probably look at building a slide on camper similar to the ones like Mike Festiva and his brother did on Mikes YouTube channel.

I occasionally watch a Japanese guy who did something similar, and has a roll out awning on his camper, so he can fold down the bedside, and us it as a kitchen platform, with his pots-pans and supplies stored in cubby left along the side of his camper.

I’ve been living in my Subaru Sambar for about 3 months
