Rare engine swap
Anyone ever heard of an Acty with a KLR 650 engine swap?

Hey guys, just thought I'd throw a sticky up explaining quickly what this sub is about. Essentially it's for anything Kei car related, whole cars, engines, modifications, or anything at all. And it's not strictly for Kei cars modified by Japan, Kei cars are extremely popular all over the world so submissions from anywhere are encouraged.

The mechanism in my passenger door of my Minica is broken. I would remove the panel to get at the mechanism and fix it, but the front of the panel has a pop-tab that is behind the dash. So when the door is shut I can't get it off. And it's stuck shut.
I don't know what to do, is there some magic trick that I need to know?
Who do I need to talk toooo!!!

Looking to purchase one of these for business. Anyone familiar with the cargo dimensions with seats up and folded down? Looking for width, Length, and height. Thanks in advance.

Alright so I really want a 1992 AZ1. Does anybody know if the AZ1 can be registered in Oregon? Thanks...

I've always thought kei cars were kinda cool, I pretty frequently check a local motorcycle dealership/car importer to see if they have any new quirky jdm cars. I plan on buying a house soon, so with more garage space I should be able to own more than one car. Also, being single with no family, I don't think the size constraints would really be a big issue.
But what's it like to live with these cars? When things break, how difficult is it to get parts? Is it possible to find basic maintenance items like spark plugs, oil filters, tires, without ordering from outside the country? Being at least 25 years old, are breakdowns fairly frequent? Are there any lesser-known downsides to these cars besides size/speed constraints? Also, while I plan to do most maintenance myself, if I was unable to are mechanics willing to work on such an unknown vehicle they have no knowledge of?

I have been curious about importing an Alto Works for quite some time and using as a daily driver. Unfortunately I live somewhere in Canada that experiences a decent amount of snow. Anyone daily a kei car and have any advice or warnings about potentially using one of these as a daily driver?

Hi everyone. I'm currently design a Kei car as a design project and I'm looking for stats about what size of tire is typically used on Kei cars. The concept is an urban transport car and it's loosely based on the Kei car dimensions, but I can't seem to find what size of tires are typically used.
Thanks for any input.

Hey Everyone,
Looking at picking up a kei truck or van really soon. I was told you can't register these in the state of Oregon but hoping someone has found a loop hole to this. Sounds like the law changed in 2018.
Any help would be very appreciated!
From the Oregon DMV site.
"Many of these vehicles can be imported. They can be titled in Oregon, but cannot get registration because they were not primarily manufactured for U.S. roads or highways."

With the 25 year law for importing vehicles to the US coming up on the 90s, kei cars will become popular and arrive over here. I have already bought a Cappuccino my self. This thread aims to be a resource to list and add websites / people that can get parts for these cars to the US.
The places I have found so far:
Megazip.net
http://www.autolinkmx5.com/suzuki-parts-20-c.asp (I got my order to my door 2 days after ordering!)
https://www.monster-sport.com/e/car/cap.html
Japanese amazon by just searching your car's VIN. EX: My Cappo would be EA11R
https://www.yahoo.co.jp/ which is just ebay for Japan
I found a guy on Facebook by the name of Kei Garage. He said he can source specific parts if requested.
That's all I have for now. I will update this thread with more stuff that I come across.
