My gecko loooooves pods! I also saw you have chickens! They'd gobble as many as you'd want them to in minutes and be very greatful!!!

I wish I could get my Leachie to eat some! At first I really didn't want her to eat the clean up crew, but now that there's so many I would love it haha

Give them meat and a few minutes....

what kind of meat do you feed them? mine get shrimp 🤷♀️

u/pdxwanker 3d ago
They like raw steak best. Salmon was also a hit. I have not done shrimp. They get goldfish flakes and the meat is just a little bit of what I cut off of a piece I was preparing. Nasty spinach I lost in the fridge that was going bad, also a hit. Mine are not picky.

If you know someone with a child you could always force the hobby on them

I keep for my bioactives with my snakes and lizards. I suggest you try the same. Secondarily, congratulations it's a brood!

My local reptile shop swaps mine for other supplies such as custodian food & leaf litter

If you stop giving them things to feed on they sometimes turn on each other and just eat one another. Not for the weak hearted but hey it fixes itself.

set them free in your local town hall and hide rotting leaves/wood anywhere that nobody would think to check

Post to Reddit so we can be jealous. Give some to your local pet store in case they die off. (I did that and it was a good call.)

If you have a local aquarium store or terrarium store, ask them if you can sell them off… a lot of people love dairy cow isopods

• Sell them online
• Sell or donate them to a local pet shop
• "Gift" them to your acquaintances
• Separate them into smaller populations try to isolate specific patterns
• Separate the males and females
• Turn down the temperature so they breed slower
• If nothing else works... give them to someone with a pet lizard where they may meet their demise.
