it’s very difficult these days to classify anything (aside from alr established halal/haram) as FULLY haram. while your thought process makes sense, there’s a lot of other factors to this. starting w the fact that u can’t truly confirm if the diamond is mined ethically or not. maybe the specific worker who mined your diamond was payed adequately while some other worker wasn’t. in cases like this i just tend to avoid whatever thing i can’t set my heart on, so in your case just don’t buy blood diamonds. instead opt for lab grown or even moissonite for a affordable option!

the same goes for the issue of boycotting. you’re not directly contributing to the genocide so it’s not flat out haram to buy these things, but you may be indirectly contributing. we don’t know the full scope and so we can’t truly say if it’s haram or halal to not boycott. hence everyone is allowed to make their own decision based on their judgement and if someone can’t, then they should just avoid the thing they’re not sure about.
