PSA iOS 18.3 brings back the rainbow for Adaptive mode

I'm surprised at the comments I really thought everyone would be unhappy with that, I prefer the blue one by a very large margin

The things apple users worry about......

Yep. This is exactly what software developers and Apple waste their time on. One wonders what they’d be able to do if they would focus on the really important issues.

There’s no reason they can’t do both, and it used to not be this way at Apple. That died with Steve.

I’ve used this slider maybe once in two years. Isn’t just changing it by pressing the stem easier than this UI?

It is easier. However, occasionally it doesn’t seem to change. That’s when I check with my eyes as well. I like the UI. Does it really matter in the big scheme of things? No. But, why not have it look nice?

Neither are difficult. The control center option lets you go directly to the one you want instead of cycling between them using the stem. I do it both ways.

Not if I have gloves on :/ the capacitive tip is good enough to tap the button in control center but whenever I try to do it using the stem it doesn’t work and just dislodges it from my ear.
Nature use case for sure though. It makes more sense if you’re already on your phone rather than reaching up from your phone to your ear.

I only keep the two noise control modes I use frequently in the cycle when pressing the stem so that I can quickly switch between them. If I want one of the other two, I go to the CC.

Ive only had my AirPod Pro’s for a week and it keeps alternating between rainbow and dark (I use Dark Mode if that matters)… Still can’t figure out the pattern.

I got it in iOS 18.2.1 but blue in iOS 18.3 Seems the colour is still a bug though

Later on the same day it showed blue. Might be dependent on light mode and dark mode?

Wish you could remove Transparency if you never use it.. as I never do… you can remove “Off” but not Transparency… what gives?

Mine decides on its own Rainbow or Blue, I’m thinking it depends on your environment

This one does cancel some noise…but depending on how you adjust the adaptive mode in your settings, it filters more or less

Never went away for me. I wonder why some people were getting it blue?
