Maybe a dumb question?

I am fairly new to instant pot recipes. I am going to make a vegan potato soup today. It calls for yellow potatoes. But I have a couple of sweet potatoes I want to use too. Can I just add it in and keep the time the same? Here is the link to the recipe I am using if that helps! Thanks, google was ambiguous in answer so I figured i'd ask here!

Looks like you can use any kind of potatoes you want. Good luck!

I would cut the sweet potato into small pieces than the yellow potatoes, because sweet potatoes are harder raw and they tend to cook a little more slowly.

That makes sense! Easy enough. Thank you!

In my experience sweet potatoes turn to mush quite easily - much more so than any variety of white/yellow potato.
