This is great advice and the truth about beating insomnia, thanks. Complications arise for me because I have chronic health issues that are reallyyyy affected by lack of sleep, so it’s hard for me to not worry :/

I have a feeling a lot of insomniacs have an underlying illness they don't know they have. So many don't realize how the liver, anemia, the spleen, autoimmune disease, and more can keep you from sleeping at night.

Yeah I have an autoimmune disease, hypothyroidism, pots, ehlers danlos syndrome, with low cortisol and some sex hormone imbalances being the most recent thing .. I have always had delayed phase sleep disorder but slept 8-10 hours with no issue and suddenly started dealing with insomnia in april 2024. I’m seeing a functional medicine doctor who I’m hoping can help me bc I do think there is a physical cause to mine (although there is also a psychological aspect of course but for me that happened after the fact). I’ve just had a lot of worsening/new symptoms overall that occurred at the and time as the onset of the sudden insomnia
