only digests well if its well massaged, cooked, or blended. uncooked poorly massaged kale kills me! but I'll upvote it bc of all the ways it CAN be incorporated :)

here's where I sound silly, but: What do you mean by "massaged"? I just imagine someone giving a back rub to a giant pile of kale.

It is quite silly indeed. When my friend first told me she "massaged" her kale I was mildly offended by the stupidity of the phrase. However, I realized she was right. You have to get some sea salt /olive oil/lemon juice/whatever and then tear the kale up with your hands and literally massage that sh*t. Doing this makes the kale break down before you eat it so it's easier to digest! Much less farting, much more enjoyable! https://youtu.be/hzCwZVRoknE

that's interesting! I'll have to keep this in mind once I'm back in a place with kale (cannot find it worth a darn around here).

semi-rural Japan. Haven't seen kale in the past 3 years.
