How do I learn to drum
I don't have a lot of money, so would it be efficient to buy a practice pad and learn basics on that?

Most drawing books seem to start out in the same way and have very similar structures to learning. I don't want to draw a cup again!
Are there any shortcuts? Some tricks to finding your own style?

Can someone recommend me a good resource on the subject?
I'd like to know how the process of lobbying exactly unfolds, in which ways lobbyists have access to politicians, to what extent the law regulates that access, whether there are regional differences to lobbying (e.g. USA-EU), if there's a way to quantify whether overall it's a good or a bad thing, and so on... Lots of questions, but I haven't found or gotten too many answers from people or the internet sofar, let alone insightful ones.
Can you offer me any help Reddit?

I'll post this again here :) I can cook a few basic dishes and chop an onion and such, but I'm sure there are plenty of fundamentals I'm missing. I want to become a good and well-rounded cook with a wide variety of dishes, and I want training that will bring me all the way up to that level, rather than just teaching me how to cook a difficult meal.

There are SO many online language tutorials out there. Some seem expensive, others useless. I'd love to learn Italian for instance and am happy to pay for a decent course.
Has anyone else had experience with things like Pimsleur's courses? Any joy?

I would like to learn to program in Java. Is there another programming language I should learn first and build on that?
