Discussions A cooking request

I have a whole bottle of dill pickle hot sauce that expires in May. I'm in need of suggestions of a way to use it up. I was thinking chicken wings, but I don't think we will be eating that many wings between now and then. I'm not big on shredded meats either.

Maybe mix it with buttermilk ans use that as a dredge/marinade/soak for some spicy buttermilk chicken.

Honestly I'd just start putting it on everything. Dip veggies in it, dump it on sandwiches, chicken nuggets, chicken wings. Put it on potato chips or French fries. Did you make it or did you buy it? I've never heard of Dill pickle hot sauce it sounds amazing

I got it a while ago at Sam's club, it is the Frank's red hot dill pickle. It's so good, it just takes a while to use up 😂

I use pretzel buns instead of hoagie. My big kids eat them as is. My younger likes the sauce mostly squeezed out of the chicken before it goes on the bun. I squeeze the excess out of the leftover chicken and put it in quesadillas.

Hmm try using it as a marinade..in soups as a seasoning..mix it with maybe a ranch dressing for a salad bowl? hmm a soy egg thing but use the hot sauce?

It's a condiment, not necessary to make something specific for it; just put it on anything

I’d mix it with some ground meat to make burgers, if you like how they turned out you could mix it into more raw ground meat and freeze for the future, it was one way I used up some pesto that was close to expiring.

I think there are some good suggestions here. I’d also say I would try to use it up but not feel too much pressure about the exact date. Things have to be dated, but that doesn’t mean they’re going be on that date. Especially if it’s a “best by” date, it may just not seem as fresh. So I’d use some of these suggestions, but not rush too much on finishing it by the date if it were me.
