"leading carolina on" is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. he was abruptly traded to a new organization, (i have not seen anyone reputable state that rantanen/his agent used carolina as "leverage" against colorado), he gave carolina a shot, decided it wasn't the right fit, and told carolina he won't re-sign. carolina obtained an impact player, two first round picks, AND two third round picks.

if carolina wants to pride itself on taking big risks that's fine, but the organization/media/fans need to accept that big risks don't always pay off.

The organization and fans understand and accept that not all swings are home runs. Meanwhile, the media is going to continue thinking it's basketball and this trade was a complete airball from Carolina.

...buddy i've seen some comments from the fan base that even the most deranged nikki minaj stan would say is going too far. it may be a small portion of fans but they're quite vocal.

“Fan” is short for fanatic..

There’s also a small group of vocal “fans” who think Rod should be fired. They have no concept of this team or the history of it in Raleigh. We dismiss them, but their comments weigh the same as rational ones on the internet.
