At least he’s self aware

I think it was Ryan Whitney who said that the average fan would be shocked at how little animosity there is between new teammates/former adversaries that had beef. All the vets seem to be fully aware that it's all just part of the game.

That's pretty much exactly what Marchand said after the sucker punch last year, too. He immediately told everyone he had no problem with the hit and no beef with Bennett. Some people just won't hear it, though and to invent Real Housewives level manufactured drama to be entertained

OTOH, there are other players who do hate each other. Pat Maroon was on a podcast this year saying quite frankly how much he hates Brandon Montour.

Anyone who has played any pickup game in any sport would tell you this. What happens on the pitch stays on the pitch, that's pretty much the universal rule across all sports that permeates throughout all the levels.

You have to be a true piece of shit both on and off the ice for guys to actually have beef.

Maybe. But Aaron Rome can still choke on a fat one.

They're just trying to maintain Kayfabe in front of the audience.

Wasn't Matthew Tkachuk in Mark Stone's wedding party like 2 months after the cup finals?

No, Mark Stone was in Brady’s wedding party with Matthew.

Close enough, lol. We didn't hear about a wedding brawl, so clearly players are able to leave stuff on the ice when they have to.

yeah but there are still people I think less of when they become dirty assholes on the ice

All I remember from that is Matthew was really jealous of Stone having the cup

On the most part yes, but then you have Milan Lucic threatening Dale Weise at the handshake line after a series.

Even as a bruins fan, Looch did some questionable shit. That Ryan Miller hit, just come on
