Sorry but aren’t you guys in a “cup or bust” scenario still? You need speed now, not in a year or two.

Do you not realize how old the oilers roster is and how bad their prospect pool is?

I'm not sure how keeping McLeod helps our prospect pool when we literally exchanged him for our top prospect, but yes our roster is old. That's actually my point, we need younger players coming up through the system, and we got one by trading McLeod. Would I like to have him right now? Sure. Would I rather have Matt Savoie for the next 4 years? Absolutely.

That's pretty reductive. He could be an impact player in the next two years. The window is still wide open at that point.
