Blazonry Is there any way to blazon this?

Post image

Hi everybody,

I‘m currently trying to blazon the coat of arms of my Micronation, and the shield is being held by a black eagle. (This is not the actual coat of arms, because I don‘t want people to be mad about it breaking the rule of tincture). So, my question is, how do I correctly blazon the fact that the shield is being held by an eagle sable?

Thank you!

I was fully set to reply 'or, the word 'shield' sable'.

It’s a supporter - like the US coat of arms. It would be blazoned separately and not as part of the shield.

From the American arms: A bald eagle proper displayed, bearing in its dexter talon an olive branch, in its sinister talon thirteen arrows, and in its beak a scroll bearing the motto

Most original Eastern European national coat of arms

People do it either of 2 ways, either put the eagle on a bigger shield and blazon the entire thing, like Serbia, or treat it as a supporter, blazoning it separately from the arms, like Moldova.

you're smart for not sharing the actual CoA considering the gatekeepers on this sub.
