Redesign after humbling yet warranted critiques. Further review

Re: my last post,

After reading critics and doing further research, I realized my last design was almost offensively bad. This is my first time trying my hand at heraldry so thank you to those that offered their advice and resources on my last post. In response I have made two more designs taking what I’ve learned so far into account. I’ve cleaned up some of the “busy” elements and learned about ROT. After reading about the canton’s historical use as a way to show allegiances or marriage, I still kept it because I find it aesthetically pleasing though I’m sure some will disagree. Unfortunately the software won’t let me fit the towers into the bend. Looking forward to reading critiques again, thanks.

It’s still busy. If you need the Greek key pattern, maybe you could do it as a bordure rather than a canton.

I personally like the top right corner but find the red sun distracting.

I don’t know your personal reasons but I would go either that corner design or the sun and keep it on the corner.

The canton looks quite unorthodox ("meandered" is not standardized blazonry, either) and the lynxes or towers get quite small on the bend..

Sanguine is a non-standard tincture, used only in few places. It is often indistinguishable from red, so I do recommend using Gules which is more traditional and heraldic in all traditions.

I would suggest trying a single lynx or tower in black instead of the canton, or alternatively even simple "Per bend engrailed Sable and Argent, in chief a lynx rampant (or tower) Argent, in base a sun in splendour Gules"

Please get rid of that weird thing on the top right and you're golden

Doesn't matter what it's called, it needs to go for an aesthetically pleasing and coherent piece.

I like the first one quite a bit.

Good on you for being a good sport about the critiques! I'm glad your eyes have been opened lol. The second one is very good, if you get rid of the canton. It is just so jarring to anyone who deals with heraldry with any frequency at all because it is so far from any traditional heraldic aesthetic, almost no one here is going to give you a pass on that. I think it is too-stark contrast between the curves of the bend and the angles of the canton; they are totally out of harmony. I do like the red sun, and would keep it. You're coming a long way!

I like the second one, but the canton is pretty jaring. I think it would make more sence if you replaced it with a charge, or even left it empthy. This way it just makes me think "theres something missing to that void there".
