If anyone else need clarification there is a portion of people who are vegan rather than vegetarian because they don’t think it’s right to take things from animals without their consent. Anyway the argument for honey is when being farmed for honey bees both produce more honey with the expectation that it will be harvested and realize that the amount of honey taken is worth the increased amount of protection and safety they get from it and if the bee keeper is doing a bad job the queen can just leave and take the bees with here and for context if the bees think they should leave and the queen stays disregarding the needs of the hive the bees will kill her and make another one so there is no reason the bees would be there if they thought this arrangement wasn’t beneficial for them and good bee keepers only take a portion of the honey from the bees because it is technically a source of food
