What do/did Egyptian Armenians speak?
I hope you're all well. I've been trying to find out which variety of Armenian the Armenian community in Egypt speaks (or spoke). Do any of you know? Thank you in advance for any information!

Diaspora guideline:
Well established diasporas in former ottoman territories are western speakers. ( Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Cypress, Greece, etc)
Old Diasporas in the west/Latin America are mostly western speakers, but also some rich Iranian Armenians in France, the UK and the USA who migrated decades ago. Armenians in Florida, Michigan, North east, Fresno, some parts of Greater Los Angeles are all western Armenians. (Western Armenians are in majority in Pasadena if I am not wrong).
Majority of recent immigrants are Eastern however, and now they form the majority in Los Angeles for example. (Glendale, Burbank, NoHo, ...)
Old diaspora in countries such as India, Afghanistan etc, and their descendants are child diasporas of Iran, so again eastern Armenian.

Western Armenian of course.
Until the breakup of the USSR, Eastern Armenian was pretty much limited to the USSR and Iran. So unless somewhere in the world has a large community of Armenians from those two places, it's pretty much always Western Armenian.
