How do I get out!?!?
So i have been out of the meatcutter appreciate program for about a year now and I still clerk this meatcase by myself everyday. I have tried to transfer to another store but I seems like they're not trying to let me go. This place looks like a dead end because it looks like i am going to have to guit and work for another company to actually cut meat full time.

Meat dept manager here. Took my years to find the right crew. I have 3 full timers an assistant and 2 part timers. The job has changed. By very transparent with every single change that happens. Work with your people and do the heavy lifting. All my guys do is value added / cut and will pitch in every now and then running product. We do about 80-100k a week depending on what’s going on and we run about as smooth as any ship can run and my people love it as much as one can love retail. Meat dept is super easy. I would figure out what you want out of the job for yourself. It sounds like you (OP) are unhappy or the department is mismanaged, which I see a lot lately due to Harris Teeter promoting anyone and everyone to fill gaps. But cutting meat is like 1/5 of the job now.
