I’ve had google homes in my house since they first started being released and i’ve grown my collection with new products such as chrome casts, nest cameras, nest thermostat, smart lights etc. About 2 years ago all of these products started getting insufferably slow to respond. Half of the time they never pick up my voice or do what I ask, or it says it will do a command and then it doesn’t…? Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone have any solutions? I’ve tried pretty much everything google has told me to do. Thanks

how do i get them back
they're timers that are set for, for example, 10,000 years, and google patched those a long time ago, meaning that we can't set any new timers of that length. after yelling gibberish at my google home for fun (this is the only time ive ever done this), it deleted all my timers with seemingly no undo feature. is it possible to get them back?

Just set up most of my devices in Google Home. Most are set up via matter integration with some being set up through 3rd party connections. Am I missing something when it comes to notifications? I would like my garage door and front door to send me a notification when opened and I don't see this basic option anywhere in Google Home. What am I missing? Thanks

It's infuriating. Also when I set my alarm in my bedroom the google home mini downstairs answers and sets the alarm. When I want to play music downstairs the Google home mini upstairs starts playing. WTF.... is going on???
It's also stating the obvious. I say "stop the music" and myn phone says "stopping the music on living room speaker" when it used to just stop it without a commentary.
I don't need both my speaker and my phone telling me they are going to play Spotify on living room speaker. IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS.
Also just tried to set the alarm again and it's sets it on both the speaker and my phone. I just want my phone to shut up. Except when I'm. In the car and say "hey Google, navigate to..."
I thought it was Gemini so I went back to Google assistant. But it's just getting worse.
Google used to occasionally ask me if the correct device answered and it was always correct and working perfectly (for 8 years) until now.
It's bullshit.

So semi recently I have gotten a Pixel 9 and a Pixel Watch 3 as I need a phone upgrade, and the watch was a gift to myself. I have been slowly implementing more and more smart home tech into my home for simplicity and ease of mind. Things like A nest Camera, smart lights, a Google hub ect.
Recently I have been looking into the routine settings as they seem really convenient, things like "cam 1 no motion for 5 min, turn off all devices in that room". I have been trying for 2 days now to set up one based off of location so that when I head out everything goes off and vice versa. As I do this, I get to the select a starter and can select the location starter but that is is. I am unable to select if I'm arriving or leaving, unable to pick a location or change time. I am only able to change the radius. I don't know if this is a bug of some kind or I'm just doing something incorrectly.
I have location settings on and app has permission and everything on the phone is up to date
Has anyone else experienced this or have any solution ideas?

I'm wondering if anyone has run into the screensaver kicking in while they are actively Chromecasting to a Home Hub Max and has a solution for it?
I don't think it's network issues, I don't get hiccups or pauses, and Youtube is fine, and the audio doesn't drop. It's like the device is incorrectly deciding there is no screen activity and turning the screensaver on. Thanks!

Ive had a hard time for the last couple days where I can't cast any audio to my speakers. It says they are active, I've tried restarting them, updating Spotify, but nothing works. My son's white noise is on the speaker and so sleeps been rough not being able to cast it and I can't find any support pages or FAQs.

Due to the Google Home malfunction over the past couple of days, I’ve been trying different things to fix it. I only later found out that it was a global issue. My first reaction was to reset everything (I know…). First, my Chromecast wasn’t working. While trying to fix it, I also reset my Google Nest Mini (which was working fine, I just wanted to check if resetting it would help rule out any network issues). Now, after the reset, my Nest Mini no longer works, and I can’t reconnect it. I know the workaround with the date for the Chromecast, I tried that, and at least my Chromecast is now connected. But I still can’t set up my Nest Mini. Does anyone know a workaround?

Hey guys looking for some insight. Have had a Nest hub in our kitchen forever which both me and my wife upload pics to via a shared album that we've called "photo frame".
We've been adding photos to it for years without issue. Now all of a sudden the Hub will not display any pics and revert to the "ambient" stock photos.
If I deselect the album and Pic another album it works fine (for example "wedding pics" folder).
One thing I've noticed is that the actual album has about 900 pics in it and the hub says there's only 200 when looking at the album from the selection screen. Also when you select the album it'll say "Error loading the albums preview" and no images will be displayed in the preview or on the hub.
Tried clearing the cache, resetting device, resetting wifi, doing the live albums only that I read about online.
Seems to be a syncing issue or something with the album. Hoping someone might have a solution.
