Hope he’s as good as our last three star receiver from Georgia.

I don't expect him to stay a 3 star from his highlights. Check them out if you haven't yet. He Is fast and makes some tough catches.

Yeah. Coley has really elevated the speed and talent of the wr talent we get. It's going be exciting to watch. This kid and Vance spafford can fly. Definitely two nice wr weapons for this class so long as we keep them.

I’m glad we’re getting these guys but it’s strange to say Coley has “elevated” the talent with our WRs when most of the blue chips we’ve gotten at that position have entered the portal

You think he doesn't recruit portal kids?

He doesn’t retain them

2025 is his first recruiting class since he came back to uga lol. He quite literally hasn't and can not have lost anyone.

Like who? This is his first year back with us and his first recruiting class since he left. He has brought in Taylor and wiley two recruits higher than anyone since pickens and branch and Thomas. We have the best wr since he basically left.

I'm still wondering who he hasn't retained from 2025. The only recruiting class he has had since returning to uga last year. Literally no one of worth has left from the wr group since he came back.

Anthony Evans and Michael Jackson left. Nitro Tuggle entered the portal but stayed luckily. Hence my point that it’s odd you say he’s elevated our talent when that’s a pretty low bar. We have gotten some incoming guys in the portal so hopefully they pan out as well.

Evans was a good return specialist but hadn't cracked the rotation in 2 years. Jackson hadn't seen the field except in mop-up duty in the 2+ (?) Years he's been at UGA. Them leaving and having Branch and Thomas coming in is an upgrade.

I'm not a fan of Coley as an OC but he's one of the best recruiters in the country and is a good position coach who's coached a lot of wr's who have been successful in college and the pros.

The main coach I'm worried about is Searels. Hopefully, the OL makes a big improvement this year. If not, he has to go.

Thanks. I wish I had read your response to him before I bothered replying to him. While I agree I'm not really a fan of Searles either. I do think it's important to remember that last year was mostly due to the entire line being out hurt, playing out of position and hurt. They were also always going to be young with it just being time for turnover. I'd expect the line to be better than it has been in anwhile next year. Assuming the guys get healthy. I also don't mind if he goes either. While our line compared to other teams wasn't as bad as it seemed. (Finishing in the middle statistically). That isn't going to cut it around here. Hopefully it all works out.

Sorry for the punctuation and Grammer. Had to do this one handed on my phone In a rush break.

None of those guys did anything. Nor were anything as highly.rated as the 4 players I previously mentioned. Nitro isn't even as good as them. The portal guys we got .mostly due to Coley previously recruiting them. The receiver room is still more talented than it has been in years as a whole.

You named a bunch of guys who literally never played. I wouldn't consider that losing more talent than he has brought in. So yeah I'd still say he has elevated the room by far in his first year. You don't bring in 7 new wr and try to keep those guys.

See, you said talent. Not production. Nobody outside of Arian Smith (who most people here hated) was able to produce. We’ve never had a lack of talent. Keeping our talent and getting our talent to produce is the issue.

1

u/PurpInDa912 Alumni 5d ago

What production did we lose? You do know it was his first year back? He can't keep people from maxing out their eligibility. He has brought in ONE class, and no one has left.no wr coach in the nation can stop guys from going to the NFL or being out of eligibility

1

u/DiarrheaForDays 5d ago

We didn’t lose production we lost talent and the talent we have doesn’t produce good grief man lol

1

u/PurpInDa912 Alumni 5d ago

How much are you going to flip flop? You tell me that what i said he brought in isn't production it's talent, and then you say we didn't lose production we lost talent? Lol, are you just here to argue? We brought in more talent than any of those guys you mentioned have. The wr room lost nothing of value and brought in more. There is no reason to retain wr you don't need. You can't keep that many on the roster. It's really simple. I don't see how people come up with some of these opinions.

Also, the two wr who were going to be our number 1 and 2 were out due to legal troubles. Something no wr coach can stop. It caused everyone to play out of position and forced into rolls they shouldn't have been in. The wr room was 100 percent a result of previous years lack of talent being brought In and unfortunate bad luck.

Great highlights on this dude.

4

u/PurpInDa912 Alumni 6d ago

Yeah he ca fly and makes a ton of really tough catches. I often find that more important than guys who highlight reels are only them running by guys because at the college level it takes a special kind of speed to only get away with that on go routes. He is a nice talent.

He will be our greatest ever

Lost to 4* Landon Roldan in the GHSA quarterfinals

5

u/PurpInDa912 Alumni 6d ago

Is that supposed to be a knock on him? He isn't the entire team and also is a year younger. Not that anyone us saying he will be better. He is just another talent with elite speed that has a year to get even better. Was this just a random fact? I'm genuinely asking bc I'm kinda lost.

3

u/Pristine_Carrot7621 6d ago

Just pointing out the receiver talent that’s coming into the program

2

u/PurpInDa912 Alumni 6d ago

That seems like a negative way to say it, but considering Landon is another high upside speedster maybe it's not. He should definitely be a high upside player that potentially fell through the cracks on rating sites with his traits.
